Charlotte's 1st Meal

Charlotte's been ready for solid food for months. She often demonstrates this fact with her toys.

 

 

 

 

So last Friday she had her first meal. There was no "spoon confusion" or "tongue thrust" issue warned by the baby books. She knew exactly what to do.

 

And as seasoned parents we started with oatmeal rather than rice cereal, because Em liked oatmeal a lot more. Come to find out it's actually a 7-9 month food, and rice cereal is really the starter meal. As you'll see below, Charlie didn't mind one bit. We're thinking avocado might be next... Stay tuned!
