Helping Dora

During an episode of Dora the Explorer, Dora asks Emily and Charlotte if they will help her find the monkey in tree. Emily yells, "there!" Dora asks again, "where?!" Emily, exasperated, says, "Dora needs to go the eye doctor."

During dinner, Emily and Charlotte wanted us to pretend to be their son and daughter and Amy did a good job of being the stubbon, ever-demanding daughter. When asked if Amy could be carried by Emily into the bedroom "to go to bed," Emily said, "ok, I'll roll you in." Clearly a girl who knows her own strength. Charlotte couldn't stop giggling after Amy said "no" and "I want to watch little bit more show."

Charlotte and I did two puzzles tonight. We finished Emily's nutcracker puzzle that she had left in Charlotte's room, and finished a second 9-piece puzzle. It is so fun to watch Charlotte scrutinize every intersection. She even went through the motions of consulting the box picture like she's probably seen others do. It be MAZING!

They are also scheming to "go shopping" after Amy and I go to bed. This plan unfolded during their bath.
