During our stay in PA we were house guests of my Aunt Diane and Uncle Rick. We shared the place with Jennifer, Dave, Griffin and Addison (my cousin Jennifer's family). It was a full house, but tons of fun. Sadly we didn't take any group pics, but here are some action shots. Most are from around the pool. Griffin and Addison are little fish. This was Em's first time in a pool, and she did really well!
Warming up to the water.
She got comfortable playing on the stairs.
Hanging with Daddy, Grandpa and Aunt Beca.
Addison (who is fearless) and Griffin swimming up a storm.
Addison in goggles for her underwater swims.
Emily was spooked of the grass (that's our city girl), so Great Pop-Pop tried to coax her onto it with a shoe, one of her favorite things.
Hanging out.
Griffin and Emily's "posed" pic.
Addison wanted to try on her Grandma's shoes.
And hat!
Playing peek-a-boo with Grandma.
Griffin showing Em that her key chain can be use for so much more.
Looks perfect for double dutch. Now they just need a willing participant.
Here's one!
Trying to get the rhythm :)

Vacation, Part I
Faced with the daunting task of sorting through all our July pics, we’ve decided to go through them bit by bit. This is the first in a 3 (or 4 or 5) part series of vacation photos.
Yay - we arrived safely in PA and Em gets to meet the Pepperling family! Here she is with her Great Babci. (I think Em's admiring her pretty bracelets.)

Really excited
Here's an older movie from April that makes me laugh every time I watch it. This girl has a lot of energy after macaroni and cheese!

Grandma & Grandpa G's Visit
It's been a whirlwind few weeks at 115 Nevada. We had lots of fun with Grandma and Grandpa G, who were visiting. However, Emily came down with something that put her usually sunny disposition into deep hibernation. Her string of sick days culminated yesterday with a trip to the after-hours clinic at the hospital because she hadn't been eating or drinking. It turns out not only did she have an ear infection, she also caught the roseola virus which explains her super high fever and red rash.
I'm happy to report that after many days of not acting like herself, Miss Emily is definitely on the mend. She's eating & drinking today and her energy level's coming back. Which means she was able to spend some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa this morning before they flew home. Here are a few pics of the good times they had this week.

Emily had her first taste of Grandpa's pancakes, which he made in bite size pieces.
Reading books.
Showing Grandma her squeaky giraffe.
Giving Grandma a kiss!
The Grohowski Family :)
Thanks for visiting, Grandma & Grandpa!!!

San Mateo County Fair, 2011
Last weekend Mommy and Daddy took me to the fair!
I did lots of new things there. First I tried a corndog. Turns out I like them.
Mom and Dad got a funnel cake. They wouldn't let me try any. It sure looked good though.
Next we went to see the animals. That's me in the background.
Daddy took me in for a closer look.
I saw baby chicks.
And bigger chickens.
Then we saw the tallest swings ever.
I really wanted to ride them, but I was a few inches shy of the height requirement.
So apparently Mommy and Daddy came to the fair before I was born. This is a picture of Daddy 6 years ago. He seems pretty lonely looking at the goats all by himself.

5 and counting
The teeth are showing up in droves. Almost. We now think that Emily may be part vampire - she has been known to go for Momma's neck on occasion.
