During dinner she had me fill it up 3 times, and she would've kept going if I hadn't taken it away. (Now we're just hoping her night-time diaper is up for the challenge.)

New things
Charlotte's a big fan of straws. And sippy cups. And bottles. Basically she's a fan of any vessel that carries liquid, but she does really well drinking from straws. So yesterday at Target, Emily picked out a new cup for her, since our old standby's started to leak.
Tonight we tried it out, and Charlotte seems to approve!

Dress Up
Awesome news: Becky and Glenn got married over the summer!! Rotten news: due to an oversight (I blame it on lack of sleep) and we didn't take any pictures with our camera that day. Not.a.single.one. I will never forgive myself for this, but what's done is done. I've mourned and moved on. Or so I thought.
Two months later, it was still irking me that we'd missed so many great photo opts. So we decided it was time to remedy the situation by "recreating" the day. We girls got dolled up again and posed for pics in our backyard. SO MUCH FUN! (Anyone surprised we couldn't talk Matt and Glenn into joining us??)
Here's a small sampling of the 600+ pics we snapped during the reenactment. After seeing these, I'm definitely not feeling as bad about our oversight!

Party Central
It's birthday season over here. From boat clubs, to backyards, to water parks we've had birthday parties to attend each weekend for the past month.
These were taken at our neighbor's shindig. Charlotte kept trying to eat the props, but Em used them well :)

Snip Snip
There've been a lot of changes going on over here, starting with Emily's first haircut which we did a while back.
Rather than make a big production out of it and take her to a salon, we just chopped off a few inches after her bath one night. (Actually it was after a shower - that's Emily's preferred method of washing these days. The girl loves showers.) Since change is clearly hard on me, Matt did the snipping while Em watched Dinosaur Train. He did a good job, but there was no way of saving the natural softness on the ends that only comes from those first tufts of hair. I was sad to see them go. We saved a clump in a ziploc. I'm not sure why, just seemed like the right thing to do.
It's funny to think it all started out as a wispy mohawk. Which filled in so nicely. But it was getting long, and Charlotte was oh so fond of pulling on it. And the beginning of fall just seemed like the right time to trim it up.
