Sisters
So far Emily & Charlotte get along fabulously. Just as we'd hoped. Charlotte is fascinated by anything Emily does: sing, dance, twirl. Especially twirl.
And Emily is pretty fascinated by Charlotte too. She loves to kiss and hold her. She's also a big fan of squeezing her cheeks, but not too hard. And she's a pro at popping Charlie's pacifier in when it falls out, which is often.
Emily's probably so good with Charlie because she practices with her baby dolls. Using techniques she's observed. Which is how I learned that I say, "You're ok, you're ok" and "I know, I know" over and over when Charlie's crying. It's pretty cute hearing a 2 year old echo these as she calms her sad dolls.
Can't wait to see these girls play together as they get older!!!

Bernal Festival, 2012
Last month Bernal had their annual fall festival, which we've been looking forward to since August.
As soon as we got there Emily asked to ride a pony, and despite her failed attempt last year we bought her a ticket. She stayed on for about 30 seconds before getting spooked. Oh well.
After her "ride" she surprised us by asking to go into the petting zoo where we spent nearly 30 minutes touching, petting, and feeding the animals. A HUGE accomplishment!
Then to make the day a complete success we tracked down a flower balloon, corn dog, and garlic fries ::: Yum-o!
